Who we are:
We Love White County is 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the vision and mission to transform White County, Illinois into a thriving community by building lasting relationships rooted in the hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Since our conception in March of 2020, it has been our desire to not only meet the needs of our neighbors, but more importantly, foster relationships and strengthen bonds that offer hope and community to people of all ages, demographics, and backgrounds.
It is our hope that as our community is revitalized by way of relationship. Our home place, The 404 SEED Station, is a symbol of this revitalization. Vision and generosity gave way to transform an old seed store on 404 5th Street in Carmi into a beautiful hub of life and light in the heart of our county and home to our Arrows program.
Our Vision is for White County to be a thriving community.
I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. Philippians 1:3-5
At We Love White County, we are family-focused, gospel-minded, and kingdom-oriented. Our vision for White County is one of a flourishing, restored, and united community in which each person is empowered and encouraged through the hope and the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Ultimately, we believe that God desires to transform this community into a small working model of his kingdom by where His truth persists, His justice prevails, His grace endures, and He reigns.
Our Mission is to transform White County by seeking out and building up relationships.
We Love White County seeks to embody the model of Christ through humble submission to the ministry of grace and humble service of neighbor and stranger alike. We believe that community transformation is inspired and sustained through relationship building, and that the relationships cultivated and sustained will provide a context for sharing the truth of the gospel. As we pursue this cultivation of relationships and the multiplication of the gospel, it is our mission to also provide wrap-around care for students and families in the community through student ministry, holistic family fellowship, community outreach, and the bridging of the gap between the members of White County and local communities of faith.
For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians. 4:5-6
